These Terms apply to your use of CAT-4-PREP, including our free and paid CAT4 practice tests, learning portal, user accounts and related services.
By creating an account or purchasing or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
2. Parent and guardian accounts
CAT-4-PREP accounts are intended to be created and managed by a parent or guardian.
The parent or guardian is the account holder and is responsible for:
Keeping account and password information secure
Making sure information provided during registration is accurate
Supervising a child’s use of the practice materials where appropriate
Making sure the account is not shared with unauthorised third parties
We do not require children to create their own accounts.
3. The CAT-4-PREP service
CAT-4-PREP provides educational practice materials designed to help children become familiar with CAT4 style reasoning questions and test formats.
Our materials are provided for practice and educational preparation.
CAT-4-PREP is an independent practice service. Unless expressly stated otherwise, we are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of any school, assessment provider, examining body or admissions organisation.
4. No guarantee of results
Practice results are not official CAT4 assessment results.
Scores, progress information and feedback provided through CAT-4-PREP are intended to support practice and preparation only.
We do not guarantee that using CAT-4-PREP will result in:
A particular CAT4 score
A particular school admission outcome
A particular academic result
Selection for a particular programme or opportunity
Improved performance will depend on many factors outside our control.
5. Free practice tests
We may provide certain practice tests free of charge.
You may be required to create a parent or guardian account before accessing a free test.
Access to a free test does not require you to agree to receive marketing communications.
Free content remains subject to these Terms.
We may change, replace or withdraw free content from time to time.
6. Paid practice tests and bundles
Paid products provide access to the practice tests, bundles or other digital content described at the time of purchase.
The product page or checkout information will state the key features of the product, including where relevant:
The tests included
The number of permitted attempts
The period of access
The price
Any other material access restrictions
Your purchase gives you access only to the product or products you purchased.
Purchasing one bundle does not give access to other paid bundles unless this is expressly included in the product description.
7. Prices and payment
Prices will be shown before you complete a purchase.
Payments may be processed using third party ecommerce and payment providers.
You are responsible for providing accurate billing and contact information.
We will not add charges that have not been disclosed to you before purchase.
8. Digital content and cancellation
Our paid practice tests are supplied as digital content.
Where you ask us to provide access to purchased digital content immediately, before the end of any applicable statutory cancellation period, we may ask you to expressly agree that access can begin immediately and to acknowledge the effect this has on your cancellation rights.
Where the law gives you cancellation, refund, repair, replacement or price reduction rights, nothing in these Terms removes or limits those rights.

9. Access to purchased content
Access is normally linked to the parent or guardian account used for the purchase.
You must not:
Sell or resell your account
Share paid access publicly
Give account credentials to unrelated third parties
Copy or distribute substantial parts of our tests
Upload our paid questions or explanations to public websites, social media, file sharing services or other platforms
Use automated tools to scrape, extract or reproduce our content
Attempt to bypass access restrictions
We may suspend or restrict access where we reasonably believe an account is being used fraudulently, unlawfully or in serious breach of these Terms.
Where appropriate, we will give the account holder an opportunity to explain or remedy the issue.
10. Intellectual property
The CAT-4-PREP website, practice questions, explanations, graphics, layouts, written materials, branding and other original content are protected by intellectual property laws.
Purchasing or accessing a test gives you a limited right to use that content for personal educational practice.
It does not transfer ownership of the content to you.
You may not reproduce, republish, sell, commercially exploit or distribute our content without our written permission, except where the law permits otherwise.
11. Acceptable use
You must not use CAT-4-PREP:
For unlawful or fraudulent purposes
To interfere with the operation or security of the website
To attempt unauthorised access to another person’s account
To distribute malicious software
To copy or extract content using automated means without permission
In a way that infringes another person’s rights
In a way that places an unreasonable technical load on our systems
12. Availability of the service
We aim to keep CAT-4-PREP available and functioning reliably.
However, access may occasionally be interrupted because of:
Maintenance
Software updates
Hosting or internet failures
Security incidents
Technical problems
Events outside our reasonable control
We will take reasonable steps to restore the service where an interruption occurs.
Where a significant interruption affects paid access, we may extend access or provide another appropriate remedy depending on the circumstances and your legal rights.
13. Changes to the service
We may improve or update CAT-4-PREP, including its design, features and technical operation.
We may also correct errors and update practice content.
We will not use this clause to remove material paid content that you have already purchased without providing an appropriate alternative or remedy where required.
14. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
Please contact us promptly if you believe someone has gained unauthorised access to your account.
We may require password resets or other reasonable security measures where necessary to protect users or the service.
15. Marketing communications
Creating an account does not automatically enrol you in promotional marketing.
Where we ask whether you would like to receive CAT4 preparation tips, free resources, product updates or offers, your choice will be separate from your acceptance of these Terms.
You may withdraw marketing consent at any time.
We may still send essential service communications relating to your account, purchases, security, password resets and access to products you are entitled to use.
16. Privacy
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Our registration process is designed to collect parent or guardian account information rather than requiring children to create personal accounts.

17. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful for us to do so.
In particular, nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made.
CAT-4-PREP is provided for personal and family educational use. We are not responsible for business losses such as loss of profit, revenue or business opportunity arising from consumer use of the service.
18. Your statutory rights
These Terms do not affect any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
If there is a conflict between these Terms and a legal right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted, your legal right will apply.
19. Ending or suspending an account
You may stop using CAT-4-PREP at any time.
You may also contact us regarding deletion of your account, subject to information we may need to retain for legal, accounting, security or other legitimate purposes.
We may suspend or close an account where there has been serious or repeated misuse of the service, fraud, unlawful activity or material breach of these Terms.
Closing an account will not affect rights or obligations that arose before closure.
20. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the service, technology, law or our business operations.
The date at the top will show when the Terms were last updated.
Where a change materially affects an existing customer’s rights, we will provide appropriate notice where required.
21. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
If you are a consumer living in another part of the United Kingdom, you retain any rights you have to bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable law.
